This beautiful watercolor, painted between 1908 and 1913 by Sawyier while living on a house boat in the Camp Nelson area, is a typical scene of the fisherman/ farmer returning to the warmth of their home with their catch. The fodder shock in the field and the absence of leaves on the trees is a sure sign that it is autumn on the Kentucky River.
